Cavernous Croft
The Creel played a very barren Croft in Bristol. This has to be a question of timing, as all the other acts that follwed had an equally sparce audience. It seems that without having the backbone of students, the gig wasn't to be. Maybe next time a better bit of promotion, and playing out of exam/holiday time will get the kind of response London gives. For those that were there, though, I know they enjoyed the music. As I was saying quite loudly during the gig, it reminded me of that scene in 24hr Party People when the Sex Pistols are playing in Manchester for the first time. If we all go on to be as famous as those at that gig (The Happy Mondays, New Order, owners of the Hacienda etc), the Creel will be more famous than The Stones and I more famous than Harold Shipman... Here's a future doctor signing out.
