Thankyou all you mad real people
Well that was a joyously anarchic experience last night! Its one of the first times I think we have gone on as a band and just enjoyed the experience come what may. When Ed stopped the first song after a few bars, announcing that he was more nailed than he realized, we found ourselves caught in the perlilous place between going to existential nut nut land and just laughing bemused and joyous and just getting into this it, regardless. And I want to say thanks to the crowd who were absolutely magic in just enjoying the the mad human fuckedupedness of it, egging us on and cheering. Human expression is absolutely everything I live for, the one thing that offers respite to my isolation. However, we take our music so seriously that I feel that for the last few gigs we had lost part of the spirit in the search of being really tight, professional and, well, good. However last night the crowd made me realize that it isn't just about professionalism. In that moment between disaster and joy it was the crowds openess that allowed us just to say sod it, lets just forget all the objective bollocks and just enjoy it. After that I just had a wicked time. It was the first time I have been able to gig without being so nervous that I can't eat, sleep or speak before hand. Also, I feel that we are finally getting a bit better musically which means that more space to not be tied to concentration on the beat, and more space for communication and reaction. Finally there's a few people I'd like the thank personally- First the wicked girls who saw us at the Metro and came and supported us at the Garage (missed you last night), second to those wonderful nutters who asked us for our autographs (! thats the first time that has happened), third to Natasha, Danny and co who genuinely moved me last night- you are real, fourth to Helen at the Kings Head and finally to Gary and Helen who came to see us in Leister having seen us in Bath. You are the people are the reason we do this. Genuinely. Thanks all you mad fucked up real wandering saints. I know there are more of you.

Awesome!
What can I say!..this was the 3rd gig I'd been to and it was a monumental evening! It was great to see the crowd having a wicked time; this was evident in the the bands performance and it was good to see them dig in, play quality music and above all enjoy themselves.

Hmmm...
Well, not your best ever gig, but who cares? It lets me escape the hum-drum life off London. And, Jamie can you stop spouting so much shit. Talk in English, man!
