Lovelock speaks out

Jim Lovelock, the man we interviewed last year, and one of the most inspirational men we met last year, has published his views on the state of the planet. It makes for interesting reading. And great to see a good man speak out: Check it out at this link.

bring on the apocalypse

i'll ride out on my bike and take 'em all on. it's time for a period of medieval savagery. are you feeling ready? Grab the resources and run to the hills.

be prepared

My whole life has been one big preparation for the big day in 2012 when, as Mayans predict, the world will end.

That is why, like tom i feel the need to grab the resources and run to the hills.

The commission can always stay with me at my army barracks, so long as James isn't allowed to tune into his bass and drive me fucking mad.

I'm already imagining the bird 'flu isolated, razor wire defended barracks, injecting myself with anthrax antiserum, cleaning my respirator, clipping my grenade launcher and night scope onto my SA80 and stepping out the door to face the rage infected zombies and apocalypse at the perimeter fence. BRING IT ON!

gaia's revenge

i've just started to read Gaia's Revenge (the book Lovelock was talking about but wasn't yet published when we saw him). It's a really good read. Highly recommend it.... funny how he's seen as a maverick when someone like Fukyiama is hailed as a visionary for talking rubbish about 'the end of history'.

lovelock interview

BBC Environmental Analyst Roger Harrabin and Today brought together a panel of seven eminent figures from disciplines with a bearing on climate change, to put Dr Lovelock through a rigorous process of examination on the case he makes in his most recent book, "The Revenge of Gaia".
